I See

I sat up one night and stared at the empty sky

It was as if all the lights had been turned off

All of the stars were gone there was not one in sight

 I looked up and asked the moon where they had all run

He told me they gave up on pleasing the world

Nobody no longer cares or will even take a glance

You go through life ignoring their beautiful wonders

 You are now all left in the dark with nothing at all to see

If only you could have spared a moment to take a glance

Then only would you be able to see what I see
